Description
The information literacy classroom is a pivotal point for Librarians to foster a diverse, open, and safe learning environment outside of the library, but is also an opportunity for students to think critically about the cultural, social, and economic structures that underlie information production and dissemination. Incorporating mindful instruction practices and leveraging the ACRL framework to approach library teaching from a social justice perspective are a few action steps toward building bridges from the library towards inclusivity.
