Description
Stephanie Levin shares her experiences of becoming a visually impaired woman while in her early 20s and how she navigated ableist viewpoints within the context of higher education. She also provides a roadmap as to how she essentially picked up the pieces and accepted her new identity as a visually impaired woman. In addition to Stephanie's story, Becca Finley shares specific resources available to students with disabilities through accessibility services. Experiences that first-generation students with disabilities often experience within higher education will also be discussed.
