Rowan University, together with 17 Community Colleges in New Jersey, has been awarded the Department of Education’s Open Textbook Pilot Grant. Working with the community colleges, some identified as Minority Serving Institutions, the team has identified course that lead to four growing technical industries. There are significant gaps in the availability of OER resources available for students who want to pursue these careers. This grant will support industry and higher education collaboration to produce OERs in these areas, thus making access to these careers more affordable.
