Our poster illustrates the work we have done in Special Collections, and in cooperation with various campus partners, to address past shortcomings in DEIA. Specific initiatives involve areas including collections development and review, critical cataloging, content creation and outreach, and active participation in West Chester University’s Anti-Racists Working Group. During the past year, we strove to incorporate best practices in all of our operations, making an ongoing commitment to improving and sustaining DEIA going forward. From our mission statement to our hiring efforts, from our successes to our persistent shortcomings, our poster will lay bare our efforts and offer a roadmap for others to consider, critique, or adapt.
