Many staff members working within the realm of Title IX come to this work through student support functions and may not have a solid foundation of the key legal concepts around college judicial systems. This workshop will examine: Constitutional rights for students at public institutions; Contractual considerations at both private and public institutions; Key Supreme Court decisions; Federal Statutes (ADA, Title IX, Section 504, Civil Rights Act, FERPA). Participants will have the opportunity to learn the requirements guiding the adjudication process.
